Next Steps

The technical team is liaising with West Oxfordshire District Council, and the County Council, to discuss design, planning and highways, for example, and the team will engage with statutory consultees as part of the planning process to determine the education, healthcare, highways and transport investment required to support the development.

Public consultation launched on the 10th July 2026 and consultation feedback will take place late summer – please keep an eye on the website for more details.

It is anticipated that the planning application will be submitted in early autumn 2026.

Following validation of the application, there will be a formal consultation process where you will have further opportunities to comment.

We welcome your views

As we are preparing a planning application for submission later this year, we would welcome your feedback on the proposals and the types of facilities, recreational and green space uses you would welcome.

The development will also provide the opportunity to invest in the infrastructure of Long Hanborough and we welcome your thoughts on this. For example, would you like to see footpath and cycleway improvements and pedestrian crossings to better connect new and existing residents around Long Hanborough, new facilities within the village and the railway station? Would investment into public transport services or facilities be useful?

You may also have ideas about the newly accessible green space that would be delivered; should this include parkland, meadows, biodiversity areas, play space, trim trails for all ages, picnic areas and allotments? Would additional investment into the community hub be useful, or investment into a gym in the village? You may have other ideas, and we welcome your feedback.

Please click the Survey button below to complete the comment form. There’s space for general feedback at the end and we would be grateful if you are also able to answer the questions as well.
